Becoming.
Through story, creativity, and connection.

Getting Artsy After 50 grew out of a deeply personal turning point. A decision to step away from a demanding research career and begin reimagining what a more joyful, creative, and fulfilling life could look like.

After a lifetime shaped by many roles: researcher, lecturer, mentor, mother, mover, traveller, storyteller, I found myself at a crossroads. Burnout became an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of myself that had long been waiting for more space: creativity, curiosity, connection, and play.

Here I offer a personal exploration and an invitation to explore how we create richer, more meaningful lives, especially in the second half of life, when reinvention isn’t only possible but powerful.

Through events, workshops, retreats, and coaching in storytelling and participatory video, I create opportunities for you to reflect deeply, share meaningfully, and connect authentically. My work is grounded in the belief that stories have the power to inspire understanding, spark action, and transform how we see ourselves and one another.

My blog is a narrative storytelling approach to exploring identity, personal transformation, and the therapeutic benefits of weaving creativity and social connection into everyday life.

You’ll also find a curated spotlight on inspiring artists and writers, practical creative courses and workshops, and artsy events, shops, and markets that nurture imagination and community.

Whether you’re here to rediscover your creative spark, reflect on your evolving story, or connect with others seeking a more intentional and fulfilling life, you are warmly welcome here.

Insights, Inspiration, and Illumination is an intimate five-day retreat and storytelling workshop for women 50+, purpose-driven entrepreneurs and coaches, set in the beautiful Drôme des Collines, France.

At Domaine La Bonne Étoile, this immersive experience blends personal storytelling, collective voice, creative renewal, and social impact. Through guided workshops, storytelling labs, reflective time in nature, and French cultural experiences, you’ll reconnect with your why, challenge limiting narratives, and amplify the voices of women changemakers.

During the workshop, you’ll create two powerful short videos, capturing your journey, and also a collective advocacy piece. All while enjoying nourishing meals, meaningful connection, and space to think, feel, and imagine what’s next.

Limited to 10–12 women
A retreat designed for women ready to reflect, refine their story, and step forward with clarity, confidence, and renewed energy.
